Introduction

The American Academy of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (AAMRI) is a licensed proprietary technical school which provides education and certification in magnetic resonance imaging.

 

Mission

The mission of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist Training Program, as provided by the American Academy of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (AAMRI), is to prepare the student for a career as a Registered MRI Technologist.



Certification

The American Academy of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (AAMRI) is authorized and certified by the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges to operate as a Licensed Proprietary School. The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist Training Program, as provided by the AAMRI, is approved for 38 semester credit hours by the North Carolina Community College System.

 

Recognition / Approval

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist Training Program, as provided by the AAMRI, is approved by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT). Satisfactory completion of the Program qualifies the Student to sit for the ARMRIT Examination (www.armrit.org).  The American College of Radiology (ACR) recognizes technologists certified by the ARMRIT as meeting the accreditation qualifications for MRI facilities accredited by the ACR (www.arc.org).

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist Training Program, as provided by the AAMRI, is approved by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs to enroll veterans, military and other eligible persons under provisions of Titles 38 and 10, United States Code.
